ABOUT THE POSITION
Our Distribution Centers utilize state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated team to provide Columbia Sportswear Company a competitive advantage in distribution. Teams are responsible for shipping millions of units of apparel, footwear, and equipment annually within the family of brands. Accurate order fulfillment and on-time shipments are the hallmarks of our facility.

The Employee Engagement Specialist contributes to the smooth and efficient distribution of Columbia Sportswear product by spearheadingemployeeengagement initiatives. You will manage efforts to actively engageand motivateassociates by identifying specific areas and opportunities for engagement that go hand in hand with safety, quality and productivity goals.

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Create, document, and continuously improve engagementand recognitionprograms
Partner with temp provider and cross functional partners to create, conduct and make improvements in New Hire onboarding programs
Facilitate employeefeedback cycle structure, reporting and accountability
Prepare and assist various employee appreciation & wellness events, education and health challenges
Lead and participate in 6S and Lean workplace training and projects to support operations
Involvement in change management initiatives in the distribution center
Partner with managers,supervisors, and employeesfor departmentand peer recognition
Assist in succession planning and creating bench strength through facilitation of the LEAD Program

YOU ARE
Able to maintain composure, professionalism and cool under pressure to meetdeadlines
Able to handle employee needs and concerns in a professional, discreet, and respectful manner
Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize and delegate accordingly
.
YOU HAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification,or 2 4 years equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
One to two years of experience in a distribution center environment is a plus
Experience developing and accomplishing metrics, such as, improvement on turnover, retention, and employee engagement survey result
Effective communication, organization and change management skills
Intermediate computer skills, e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
