Job Description
Position is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and timely distribution of Columbia Sportswear product by managing the flow of groups of Picktickets (waves) through the Warehouse Management System (WM). Incumbent will drive the process by proactively identifying problems upstream that may ultimately result in overall processing delays. Incumbent is responsible for continuous communication with Control Room department and all department managers to plan for affected schedule changes and providing the Shipping department with updates and information to plan shipping workload.

Initiate and maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other departments to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
Inform necessary parties of situations that require a shift in scheduling in order to get product out efficiently and continuously communicate with Control Room Manager to plan for affected schedule changes.
Requires constant monitoring of production status of all departments and hourly reviews of wave flow and status along with regular monitoring of conditions on shipping floor.
Proactively and continuously monitor wave process for problems and delays in the system that would result in inefficient shipping and/or processing. Includes tracking and identifying the source of delayed Pickticket and identifying areas for improvement of systems and/or processes.
Includes identifying areas of improvement in wave process and problem solving with department managers to resolve pick ticket and scheduling issues.
Initiate and maintain a high level of communication with customer service concerning status of orders.
Identify areas of improvement in order process and recommend solutions. Problem solve with customer service to handle issues regarding rush orders, priority orders, special orders and orders approaching cancel dates.
Ensure right mix of orders is ready to send to WM system.
Conceptual familiarity with scheduling and scheduling techniques and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
Ability to effectively analyze and communicate appropriate information displayed on HMI to enhance production.
Ability to cope with a stressful work environment and cordially interact with coworkers to accomplish common tasks.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

One to three years work experience in a distribution environment in positions of increasing responsibility.
Experience in problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks/projects preferred.
Requires proficiency in WM system, experience with customer service and thorough knowledge of all Columbia Sportswear distribution center systems and procedures.
