Job Description
Join an esteemed team of creative and focused individuals driven to entertain, inform and inspire a highly engaged audience of millions of snowboarding enthusiasts.

Role & Responsibilities

- Take an active role in digital, video, print, social, merchandise & experiential program ideation
- Manage & post aggregated social media and website content
- Generate 1+ original digital content piece per week
- Manage workflow & deadlines for print publication
- Assign and edit freelance print editorial contributions
- Produce 1+ feature assignment per print publication & 25% of column work
- Assist in producing paid content creation programs
- Assist in proprietary event production, media output and coverage
- Work to maintain consistent content output in a timely & efficient manner while striving for the highest standard of quality possible
- Ideate & produce episodic video content
- Maintain a top level understanding of snowboarding's cycles, trends, influences, events and challenges
- Understand and implement cutting edge new media strategies and tools to improve audience growth, engagement, reach, experience and productivity
- Actively work with Snowboarder's sales representatives to drive awareness of key program initiates to drive support and achieve business goals
- Be communicative and accessible to Snowboarder's industry partners for input, ideas, questions, concerns and insights
- Be aware of and actively support Snowboarder's role as a part of the overall ASN group strategy

Skill Requirements
• Passion for snowboarding and knowledge of Snowboarder Magazine
• AP-style journalism background desired.
• Know how to report on variety of subjects and be able to created daily content for the website and the magazine on deadline Strong knowledge of Word Press, HTML, and SEO practices
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and others Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
• A consistent, strong, creative voice for headlines, photo captions, and social copy
• Must be based in the Carlsbad, CA, office
