This position is located in our Huntington Beach, CA office.

The main focus of this position is to coordinate Customs Brokerage operations with US Customs and communicate information and exceptions to customers on a daily basis. You will manage email correspondence and track shipments daily as well as manager data entry and customer reporting as required. The goal will be to achieve high accuracy through our logistics systems to ensure high productivity and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist day to day operations of the import & export department to ensure that customer requirements are met
• Daily communication with Customers, Carrier/Vendors & US Customs
• Prepare required documentation
• Trach and trace shipments
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Notify customers of any delays or exception in the shipping process
• Respond to and handle all daily customer service request
• Enter shipment data into the software data management system
• Maintain contact with carriers, trucking companies and any agents that will be handling freight as well as ensure that the customer is aware of any updates to previously provided information
• Responsible for assisting department co-workers with problems, issues, and questions
• Other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of experience in Custom Brokerage
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• SAP experience a plus
• Required: MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
• Good organization skills, customer service skills and positive attitude
