The arena brand was created by sports visionary Horst Dassler, son of the Adidas founder and President of Adidas France. During the 1972 Munich Summer Games, Dassler was on the pool deck when Mark Spitz won his historic 7 gold medals.

Dassler, along with the rest of the world, found himself in awe because not only was Spitz the first athlete to win 7 golds in one Olympiad, but at the same time he set 7 new world records. Dassler immediately started forming plans for a swimwear company dedicated to aquatic sports and created the new performance swimwear brand known today as arena.

Responsibilities:
• Runs all aspects of arena’s e-commerce business including ownership of P&L and creation of yearly budgets. Owns all e-commerce activities, programs and initiatives.
• Utilizes best practices and key learnings to assist in the development and management of strategic 3rd party online key accounts and marketplace vendors
• Partners with merchandising, trade marketing and brand managers to define the merchandise strategy, promotional calendars, brand marketing execution and success metrics.
• Works closely with marketing on the digital strategy across channels including online, mobile, emails, social, affiliates and SEM to align with company goals and vision.
• Drives e-commerce revenue through the arena website as well as through PPC and SEO / SEM activities (Google AdWords, etc.)
• Analyzes e-commerce business and ROI reporting including web analytics, monitor competitors and ad hoc reports for analysis to senior team members. Use consumer insights to develop future marketing strategy.
• Responsible for ongoing improvement to the website including product descriptions, images, order/hierarchy of products, product constructs. Partners with the relevant stakeholders to execute site changes.
• Manages online merchandise presentation and executes effective position of products based on sale, inventory, newness and trends. Partners with merchandising team to develop and ensure successful online assortment.
• Creates a buy plan and mark down decisions to create a clean and pro table business.
• Monitors website usability and the consumer experience in partnership with 3rd party vendors and IT to improve site performance, merchandising options, engagement and conversion.
• Assists in the ROI and optimization of third party online assets and partners with Key Account Manager in running those programs.
