It is the primary responsibility of the Digital Graphic Designer to conceive and design social media and traditional print projects that promote client brand image in a high volume, fast paced entertainment environment. The Digital Graphic Designer’s focus will be on social media; cinemagraphs, listicals, video editing of short clips and other motion graphics projects across all social channels as well as a variety of traditional print projects.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.
• Develop, design and translate creative concepts into required multimedia design elements and/or traditional print
• Ensure concepts and designs adhere to original creative brief specifications, and are consistent with project and brand standards and objectives
• Work closely with Entertainment Marketing Team for creative direction
• Efficiently handle high-volume workload, and ensure all deadlines are met
• Be an active participant in creative brainstorming sessions
• Be knowledgeable of property brands and sub-brands within each property
• Stay current with social and digital trends and innovations
• Localize and customize tour and event artwork as provided by promoter.
• Produce artwork in demanding and fast-paced environment with urgent deadlines.
• Proof all assets prior to printing and ensure pre-production requirements are accurate.
• Communicate with vendors to ensure all specs are met properly.
• Create original artwork for MGMRI-produced events.
• Perform all other job related duties as requested.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Digital or Graphic Design or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in an agency, in-house or freelance.
• Previous experience producing various versions of original artwork, both digital and print assets including large format.
• Previous experience designing multiple brands in a high-volume environment.
• Portfolio is required; must complete a technical and design test within a specific time frame.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
• Ability to animate artwork.
• Previous experience working in entertainment or nightlife.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
