WizWheelz, the world leader in recumbent trikes, is looking for a talented Procurement Buyer. This full-time position’s primary objective is to forecast, purchase and monitor an effective product mix across multiple brands. The right fit is someone who is team oriented, well organized and can creatively problem solve using experience and the resources around them.

What You’ll Do:
Determine forecasts and purchases of products, new items, replenishment and seasonal demand planning. Recognize trends or patterns and adjust forecasts using qualitative data and feedback from sales channels. In addition, this role works hand in hand with the Product Line Manager, Accounting and Warehouse/Fulfillment to place, track and ensure proper receipt of purchase orders for product made domestically and overseas. The role is accountable for product mix, inventory turns, inventory levels and aged/idle inventory and will work to reduce costs across the supply chain.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage daily activities associated with forecasting and replenishing warehouse.
• Work with vendors to determine MOQ’s for the best possible product mix.
• Develop accurate forecasts through historical data, preseason orders and the sales team growth plan.
• Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and component lead times.
• Run product reports to determine sell through rates and needs to adjust purchase rates.
• Issue purchase orders using ERP system.
• Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of products, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems.
• Partner with sales team to update/adjust trends and adjust PO’s as necessary throughout the year.
• Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers.
• Assist warehouse team in inventory management including identifying space constraints and slow-moving products.
• Ensure timely delivery of product to match preseason orders and forecasts.
• Analyze causes driving product backorders and develop corrective action plans as well as process improvements to address issues/opportunities.
• Establish and manage ERP reorder points.
• Create and manage products within ERP system.
• Update product status across multiple platforms.
• Achieve targeted inventory, inventory turns and backorder rates.
• Work with PLM to determine product end of life and new product production timeline.
• Monitor and resolve aged or obsolete inventory to minimize inventory write-offs.
• Ensure the accuracy of data within the buying systems and obtain accurate OEM purchasing information.
• Partner with vendors to improve pricing and costs across supply chain.
• Maintain competitor intelligence to actively participate in future planning.
• Utilizes reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity.
• Creates ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Seek out more efficient and effective ways to help push the company forward.
• Understand and help with functions of other departments to proactively improve personal area of responsibility as well as that of others.

Minimum Requirements:
• 2 to 5 years demand planning & buying experience in consumer products
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Working directly with domestic and overseas suppliers
• Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Office
