About the job

Responsible for FlowRider product sales (stand-alone) in the USA, Canada, and select territories. The VP BD plays a critical role in the expansion of markets and business development in the region. The VP BD will also be responsible for maintaining an ongoing relationship with their clients throughout the project life cycle. This position requires a self-sufficient, energetic, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Essential Responsibilities

• Actively working, present, and available during business hours of the assigned territory. Respond to direct reports and clients within 24 hrs.

• Providing FlowRider with professional sales and marketing advice and services.

• Professionally represent FlowRider with clients, at industry events, and when working internally with FlowRider and Whitewater teams.

• Be proactive in awareness of and actively work to develop business opportunities within the assigned territory.

• Communicate potential opportunities immediately utilizing the internal method preferred by WhiteWater and maintain such information as it becomes available. All opportunities and leads are to be maintained within the WhiteWater preferred software system. Providing their best efforts to obtain a sales orders for products, goods and services. Book orders within the target pricing/margins and approved terms and conditions as approved by the direct report identified above.

• Be clear and timely in communicating contract obligations to the team delivering the product or service. Advise and positively support the operating teams in the process of delivering the product or service to the client. Interface to bridge communication between the client and operating teams where needed while supporting WhiteWater positioning.

• Assisting whenever required during the initial commissioning of the product and in the maintenance and service training provided for the benefit of the customer.

• Making periodic contact with all customers to ascertain customer satisfaction with FlowRider products, goods or services and be observant that the customer is following correct service, maintenance and operating procedures. Provide feedback to WhiteWater relative to the above.

• Holding in confidence all prices, names of prospective customers and all other information furnished by or obtained in the performance of this Agreement.

• Reporting on a timely and regular basis including but not limited to:

• Sales progress within the territory using standard templates and software systems on the regular basis determined by the direct report identified above

• Status of maintaining data in software systems.

• Status of individual opportunities by being aware of details relative to the account

• Prepare monthly commission statements

• Prepare monthly sales reports

• Prepare trip reports as required

• Prepare expense reports monthly

• Participating in regular performance feedback reviews every 3 months (or as dictated by the Leader of FlowRider, Inc) that will cover the following areas:

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the amusement/leisure industry preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Architecture preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

• Must have excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.

• Ability to travel on a regular basis (50%) and on short notice with overnight stays in hotels, sometimes over weekends when needed.

• Demonstrated flexible availability to meet customer’s requirements for face to face meetings

• Must be legally eligible to work in USA

• Ability to travel by airplane and/or drive a car on one’s own

• Ability to work 8+ hours a day if needed.
