Adventure Sports, Cabrinha and Dakine Wind are the leading global water sports equipment brands for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. We are seeking candidates for our international headquarters in Miami.
We are seeking a purchasing agent for our brands and retail division. They communicate with the sales team, product development, and accounting team as well as manufacturers and vendors to coordinate the purchase and transfer of goods. Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining inventory levels by division based on budget, sales, prebooks
• Maintain allowance of over/under of inventory
• Work with sales and accounting teams to accurately establish purchasing plan
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies
• Research, evaluate and purchase products for our brands and retail divisions.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and work within budgets to secure cost savings or sales revenue
• Develop accurate ways to monitor agreements and sales to secure future savings
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers
• Enforce discount program based on inventory aging
• Create Purchase Orders with vendors and in our software systems
• Track purchase orders and arrival of goods in systems for most accurate projections
• Pre-allocate goods based on incoming deliveries
• Work to improve purchasing systems and processes with Operations Manager
• Participate in the sorting and counting of year-end inventory
• Other duties as assigned
