Red Bull and Mammoth Resorts Announce New Partnership
Red Bull and Mammoth Resorts announced a partnership today that will bring together two of the biggest names in North American action sports. As the new official energy drink of Mammoth Resorts, Red Bull’s visibility at Mammoth’s four iconic California resorts will extend well beyond the drink cooler, with a presence in everything from competitions, events and activations to content and athlete relationships.
“Red Bull is a unique brand and a pioneer in the action sports world. Its audience, marketing philosophy and strategies align with ours in so many ways that a deeper partnership was an easy choice,” said Erik Forsell, Mammoth Resorts’ Chief Marketing Officer. “When you’re talking about an innovative partner such as Red Bull, the sky might not actually be the limit; we’re really excited about where this can go.”
The partnership started at Big Bear Mountain Resort in 2013 and now includes all four Mammoth Resort’s properties, Mammoth Mountain, June Mountain, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. In addition to winter sports, the destinations are home to thriving mountain biking, high-altitude training communities and a full slate of events and competitions.
Mammoth Resorts and Red Bull already share a number of team athletes, including up-and-coming slopestyle snowboarder Brock Crouch. “Mammoth Mountain helped me get where I am today so I’m really excited to keep training there and snowboarding with the rest of the crew,” said Crouch, “I hope next season on the mountain will be as great as this one!"
