DC SHOES JUNIORS BUSINESS CONTINUES TO GROW WITH THE ADDITION OF NEW JUNIORS DESIGNER CAROLYN FRIZELLE
March 30, 2005 Vista, CA…DC Shoes, Inc., the leader in performance skateboard shoes, has announced today that Carolyn Frizelle has joined the Girls’ Division of DC Shoes as Junior’s Designer. Carolyn comes to DC with talent, drive, education, and experience.
“I know the growth potential for the Girls Division of DC Shoes is huge and I want this line to rock and the retailers to do well with it. I strive for a tight, stylish line with great innovative ideas, good colors, quality fabrics, fit and detail driven,” Carolyn says. “I just went to Mammoth riding with the juniors’ marketing, sales, and design crew, and I already feel like family.”
Before joining the Girls’ Division at DC, Carolyn was a designer at Volcom. She graduated with a degree in Advanced Fashion Design from FIDM, and right out of school got to work on private label projects for Nordstrom and Victoria’s Secret.
“We found the right fit with Carolyn joining our design team” says Stacy Dye, Category Manager for the Girls’ Division of DC Shoes. Carolyn keeps her designs as first priority but has a strong understanding of the bigger picture that involves sales, marketing and the brand as a whole...a rare find for such a young designer. She is a welcome addition to our growing Girls Division at DC.”
