Beverly Hills (6/21/2005) – B|W|R PPI is thrilled to add Kim Peterson as Vice President of Lifestyle Marketing to its team. She will be spearheading new lifestyle marketing initiatives as well as focusing her efforts on further exposing existing PPI clients through film, television, celebrity and event marketing. Kim has already come on board with two new clients she helped to sign which include the Rip Curl Malibu Professional Women’s Surf Contest and premium denim line Fidelity Denim out of Vancouver, B.C.
Kim comes to this position most recently from Billabong, Element skateboards, VonZipper and Honolua Surf Co. where she spearheaded corporate communications and entertainment marketing, and built strategic communications plans to increase brand image and recognition, athlete publicity and product placement. With over 10 years experience in the fashion and action sports arenas, Kim has an extensive public relations and marketing background in the board sports, music, fashion and corporate worlds. With her experience rooted in the action sports industry, Kim has a unique background marketing both endemic and corporate companies, as well as representing world-renown athletes throughout her career.
Prior to Billabong, Kim worked for Four Star Distribution where she directed all media/public relations’ efforts for Four Star Distribution’s snowboard and skateboard divisions to include the following six brands: snow brands - Special Blend outerwear, Forum snowboards, Foursquare Expedition Performance Systems, Jeenyus snowboards; skate brands – C1RCA footwear and C1 Denim, and C1RCA Presents, which was created in 2000 to join forces with C1RCA footwear and the urban hip-hop, drum and bass and DJ world. Prior to that she represented Red Bull Energy Drink, Santa Monica, CA, where she acted as media relations manager for Red Bull’s national and regional events, and handled sports communications for Red Bull athletes. Kim also acted as the director of sales and marketing for Crossrocket and Monsterskate, divisions of Swell, Inc., San Juan Capistrano, CA, and as the director of communications/public relations and spokesperson for Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort and The Canyons Resort, both in Utah.
