Dates Announced for the Surfrider Foundation Celebrity Surf Jam

Event to take place in Huntington Beach on September 10-11, 2005

San Clemente, CA (July 5, 2005) - The Surfrider Foundation and Propaganda Headquarters today announced the dates for the Foundation's Celebrity Surf Jam.  The event will take place at Orange County's famed Huntington Beach Pier, over the weekend of September 10-11th, 2005.

This one-of-a-kind event brings together some of today's brightest stars from the world of stage and screen, a host of top professional surfers and committed Surfrider Foundation activists from across the country, to raise awareness and support for our beach and coastal environments and to engage in a friendly competition in the waters off Huntington Beach.

The weekend's festivities will include a public paddle-out event, a free-surf "expression session" by the pros, and of course, the Surfrider Foundation Celebrity Surf Jam; which will utilize the National Surf League's unique contest format, The Game.

The inaugural event is being co-chaired by professional surfer Pat O'Connell and X Games host and announcer Sal Masekela.
