Roark Debuts Women’s Collection, Embarking on New Apparel Category

November 11, 2022

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – Roark is proud to announce the release of its long-anticipated women’s collection of adventure ready goods, an apparel offering that is tailored by travel, inspired by the female journey.
The collection will launch at Roark retail stores in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Berkeley, and Boulder as well as online at roark.com and in select specialty retail accounts across the US.

“The Roark woman is the ultimate juxtaposition. Just as much a lover of the mountains as she is the waves. Timeless and modern. Tough and feminine. She is unapologetic and never found riding shotgun to anyone. She exists in the moment and needs apparel that is functional and ready for adventure. After a decade of modifying Roark’s menswear to fit her needs, she now has a collection that she feels confident in, and stands up to the demands of travel, the trail, and her desire to express her personal style.”

The Women’s Collection is made up of products that are purposeful and deliberate in their design. The autumn launch collection is inspired by Roark’s trip to New Zealand, and shot on location. The ‘Awol in Aotearoa’ collection includes flannels, jackets, pants, printed wovens, fleece, and graphic tees. The Spring and Summer 2023 collection, tailored by travel to Tahiti, will include the addition of jumpsuits and a printed woven short set, with pants, jackets and printed tees.

Roark Women will also have their own Instagram presence, and adventurous women everywhere are invited to join them on the platform.

“We are striving to build a community, to create more diverse and equitable experiences for women in the outdoors, and to share stories of adventurism. We will see their grit, fearlessness, and strength. The women’s voice in adventurism will no longer be ignored,” says Roark Women’s Brand Manager Dayna Cottee.

About Roark:

Roark’s 10-year journey around the world has earned its reputation as an adventure lifestyle brand that’s inspired by expeditions, cultures, people and places on the road less traveled. Our collections of Adventure Ready Goods are purpose-built with styling details fit to accommodate your needs from trail to bar.

“I created Roark to give voice to the modern adventurer who finds just as much joy on the journey as he or she does at the summit. That authenticity had been neglected and untold… stories from off the beaten path are the fabric of our adventures - sharing them with others is what stitches it all together. All we needed were clothes that functioned on the trail but had enough style to walk straight into a bar in Paris or Kathmandu. Problem solved.”
