Carleton Curtis Named Managing Editor of TransWorld Skateboarding

Oceanside, CA, October 3, 2005 – TransWorld SKATEboarding announced today that Carleton Curtis has been named managing editor, effective immediately. Curtis will report to Editor-In-Chief Skin Phillips in TransWorld Media's Oceanside headquarters.

Curtis, 29, joins TransWorld SKATEboarding from CCS, where he served as a contract editor and advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, where he served as a copy editor, while also freelancing for magazines and Web sites including XLR8R, Slap, URB, TransWorld, and Citysearch.com. A lifelong skateboarder, Curtis will oversee day-to-day management of the magazine, including art, text, and online editorial content, working closely with Phillips, who will continue to directly supervise TransWorld SKATEboarding's industry-renowned photographers.

Curtis succeeds Eric Sentianin, who recently left the magazine to pursue a master's degree.
