SIA.06 Show Broadcast In Over 100 Resort Markets Via Resort Sports Networks

McLean, VA (March 1, 2006)…  "The Goods," a 60-minute winter sports gear show produced by Resort Sports Network (RSN) at the most recent SnowSports Industries America (SIA) SnowSports Trade Show is now airing at more than 105 resort markets around the country. The one-hour program showcases the latest winter sports product trends in equipment, fashion and accessories previewed by the more than 17,000 attendees at the SIA.06 SnowSports Trade Show held in Las Vegas this past January.

A crew of nine RSN employees was on hand at SIA.06 to capture the latest in alpine, snowboard, Nordic equipment as well as winter fashion outerwear, accessories, events, the sights and sounds of Las Vegas and more.  Logging 14-plus hours a day, the seasoned crew shot more than eight hours of footage daily before creating the daily 20-minute gear programs that were broadcast on house channels in the four host hotels: Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, and THEhotel. The one-hour network version of "The Goods" is a compilation of the four daily SIA programs.

Co-hosts Beth Lahr, Olympian Doug Lewis and the rest of the RSN team interviewed nearly three dozen SIA vendors, as well as SIA attendees and nearly two dozen denizens of Las Vegas.   Viewers saw principals, product managers and marketing personnel from some of the leading companies in winter sports including:  Burton, Cloudveil, Head, High Sierra, Nordica, Orage, Rossignol, Salomon, Shread Alert, Tubbs and more.  Other interviewees included representatives from notable snow sports magazines, SIA, the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) who announced the US Alpine team live from the Show floor, and former Olympic athletes.

“The Goods” will air throughout RSN’s resort markets this winter and will return to the airways in early Fall to get viewers pumped about purchasing new product for the season.   In addition, nearly 15,000 copies of the “Show” will be distributed to the winter sports industry via SIA in early July.

Returning to Mandalay Bay for the fourth year, SIA.06 (January 23-26) hosted manufacturers, retailers, reps, resorts, industry associates and alumni, elite athletes, media personalities and more. With 350,715 net square feet, 900 brands exhibiting in 3500 booths and over 90% of the retail buying power – SIA.06 was THE show for the snow sports industry.  The SIA.07 SnowSports Trade Show will take place at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on January 22-25, 2007.
