Kustom Footwear Appoints Mike Makos as Sales and Marketing Manager
Experience and Expertise Brings Strong Relationships with Retailers Nationwide

Irvine, Calif., -Pat Fraley, Brand Manager of KUSTOM, announced today that industry veteran Mike Makos has joined the KUSTOM team as their National Sales and Marketing Manager.  Mike will be the driving force behind the sales as they launch KUSTOM into the market place. Makos will also oversee the marketing and promotion department.  ³We are excited to have a person of Mike¹s experience and passion,² says Fraley, ³His experiences in both sales and marketing are a great combination.²

Prior to joining KUSTOM, Mike spent 6 years with Tavarua Clothing, first as a sales rep and then as National Sales Manager.  Then Mike then spent 5 years at Rip Curl working his way to Marketing Director.  ³I have had the best of both worlds running a sales team and a marketing team² Mike adds, ³Now I can use both skill sets to run integrated programs and take this brand to the next level.²

The Kustom brand is relatively new in the USA, where starting a new shoe label has many challenges in developing strong visibility and earning market share. Busting down the surf shop door is no easy task and requires a seasoned veteran to make it happen. Fraley considers Makos the perfect man for that challenge. ³Through the years Makos has developed a solid reputation with his work ethic and integrity. notes Fraley, ³He has developed strong relationships with key retailers and has developed great grass roots marketing
initiatives.²
