Collective International, LLC Adds Sims® Snowboards to its Portfolio

(ENGLEWOOD, CO) July 17, 2006-Collective International, LLC (Collective), announces that it has secured the exclusive, world-wide rights to Sims® Snowboards from Tom and Hilary Sims.  The agreement names Collective as the exclusive licensing agent through 2026 and also provides Collective the option to purchase the trademarks in the near future.  Included in the agreement are the trademarks World Snowboarding Championships®, Sugarboards®, and Carve®.

Bruce Pettet, CEO of Collective, said, “The authenticity, heritage, and innovation of Sims®, World Snowboarding Championships®, Sugarboards®, and Carve® are unmatched.  These are powerful additions to our portfolio as we leverage our expertise of marketing brands in the action sports and youth lifestyle arena.”

Sims® began in 1963 when Tom Sims is credited with building the world’s first snowboard, launching an entire sport and culture.  Said Sims of the agreement, “The brand management and licensing team at Collective understands the essence of each of our brands and their place in the snowboarding industry.  I am confident that Sims® will rise to new heights in the coming years.”
