MCD To Re-Launch In U.S. With Spring ’07 Line,“Mothers of Reinvention”,and Sign Josh Sleigh!

That’s right folks; the beloved brand of the 90’s is back with a bang!  Set to re-launch in the U.S. at ASR and Surf Expo, MCD will blow minds with an apparel line that is literally “out of this world”.

Original MCD designer and co-founder Johnny Monson, of Blackhart Brotherhood, has created a line that will slide in nicely between the mainstream mega brands and the current wave of “art house” brands.  Think Black Sabbath moods infused with geisha styled undercurrents, throw in some 70’s biker vibe and top it off with rock n’ roll pirate mayhem and you’ll start to get the idea! 

“We feel that it’s time to shake some things up, which is the concept that MCD was originally founded on,” states Monson. “This industry feels over commercialized; we want to reintroduce the elements that were a foundation of it in its younger years. Radical ideas, you know, sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll!  Soft and romantic is not where we’re at!”

MCD is also pleased to announce that they have brought Josh Sleigh on board as a rider who exemplifies the buccaneer spirit. He is currently in the midst of a tow-at revolution, utilizing his signature Placebo board and the wake inspired technology of The Grinch to launch into unheard of realms!
