Instinct Clothing Hires Kathleen Larson To Cover Sales For The Hawaiian Island Region

(Santa Barbara, Ca)  October 18, 2006 ~INSTINCT Clothing is thrilled to announce the addition of Kathleen Larson to it’s rapidly expanding sales force.  Kathleen will be in charge of representing the INSTINCT line throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

“With the addition of the Honolulu retail chain Up And Riding to our already existing accounts in Hawaii, we felt it was time to put a sales force in place to provide the necessary service that will be demanded of us” states Tom Brown, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  “Kathleen’s local hometown background makes her wonderfully suited for the position of local sales rep for the INSTINCT brand”.

Kathleen is very familiar to the local scene.  She has lived on the islands for the past 19 years.  She has an extensive background in advertising and marketing.  She has spent time working for local television programs and has served as the Promotion & Marketing Director for several local radio stations.  Her name might be familiar to many from her local media experience, including reporting and layout for the Molokai Dispatch and the Oahu North Shore News (Triple Crown Special Edition). Her latest challenge came as innovator and Executive Producer of the highly successful TV documentary “On Board For A Cure”.  It aired locally this month on KITV-4 highlighting women in Hawaii with breast cancer and breast cancer survivors.    Prior to her joining the media she served as executive secretary for the Molokai Chamber of Commerce.

“Surfing since I was 7 years old, and coming from a family of surfers, the salt water is in my veins.  I am so excited to join INSTINCT and represent this fabulous line of children’s clothing throughout the Islands” enthused Larson.

INSTINCT is known for their surf clothing dating back to the 1980’s.  Originally founded by Shaun Tomson, the line was one of the most recognized surf brands of its era.  With the recent purchase of licensing rights, INSTINCT has re-launched the clothing line and targets young boys and toddlers ages 3 to 14.
