Fresh Brands Make ASR Debut at Holiday

Robust holiday-specific lines join new brands at the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center May 23 and 24

San Juan Capistrano, CA (April 13, 2007) – The relaxed environment of ASR Holiday is proving to be the perfect opportunity for new brands to launch into the action sports marketplace. New-to-ASR labels including Neff, Loyal Army, Notion, V-Dimension Myrtle and Surfer Magazine Apparel will all make their first ASR showing at the May event. Adding relevance to the event are industry leaders with growing holiday lines.

“The casual environment at ASR Holiday is a great venue for brands to make their first introduction to the specialty, boutique and chain buyers that attend ASR events,” says Andy Tompkins ASR Show Director, “We work to make ASR Holiday an intimate and focused event for new-to-ASR and established brands, and provide direct connection to key retail buyers for the holiday season”.

Shaun Neff, President of NEFF is looking to ASR Holiday to get in front of a diverse range of buyers with the brand’s large winter headwear collection. “NEFF has plans to enter the smaller surf and skate shops in the near future, so this is a great opportunity to introduce our brand,” says Neff. In addition to its holiday product offering, NEFF will launch the brand’s first spring/summer line this year at ASR September.

Volcom has jumped on board with a large booth in their first ASR Holiday appearance. Paul Frank has upsized their space to make room for an expanded holiday season offering. “Our brand is particularly strong in third and fourth quarter sales, so showing at ASR Holiday is highly relevant. It is an important season especially given the gift-oriented products people have come to expect and love from us,” said Ryan Heuser, Co-Founder and President of Paul Frank Industries.

The holiday show runs May 23 and 24, 2007 at the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center in Costa Mesa, CA. ASR Holiday brings together top manufacturers and retail buyers explicitly for the holiday buying season. Created in response to the explosive growth in 4th quarter business for surf, skate, snow and youth culture companies, ASR Holiday fills retailer and exhibitor needs in a casual, yet productive 2-day event.

The first day wraps up with ASR Presents: Atwater's 1st Year Anniversary Happy Hour Party. Come join the White Tigers for free beer, live music from The Pricks, and Atwater giveaways. Later that night ASR and Skinnie Magazine present the Holiday Industry Mixer and Charity Event at Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa. There will be a live fashion shoot, music from Nick I of Common Sense and silent auction charity event with all proceeds going to Surfers Healing.
