"The Dawn of the Stone Age" Showing at Newport Beach Film Festival!
Two weeks ago, we premiered Volcom Stone's newest film, "The Dawn of the Stone Age" at the Lido Theater in Newport Beach to a packed house. If you missed the film, you're in luck - there is another showing this Tuesday, April 24th at 5:00 pm at the Island Cinema in Newport Beach, as part of the Newport Beach Film Festival.
"The Dawn of the Stone Age" is an animated film based on a few of Volcoms pro surfers and a few colorful characters as a journey through space and time. From 420,000 years B.C. to the modern day, the story ultimately ends up on the North Shore of Oahu. An ancient caveman, frozen through time, winds up in the mix of the professional surfing world and the surf scene in Hawaii. The movie tells the tale of Cavemans adventures interacting with the likes of Bruce Irons, Dean Morrison, Ozzie Wright, Gavin Beschen, Shawn Barron, Kaiborg and Johnny Stone. Caveman gets the chance to surf against the top pros in the coveted Volcom Pipe contest at the Banzai Pipeline.

The 25-minute animated film will be shown in a theater that holds approximately 200 people, but we will be letting the first 50 people at the door in for free - after that it's $10 for adults and $8 for students.

The films animators (Andrew Miller and Aden Stay) will be present for a question answer session after the film. Don't miss out on the last big-screen showing of "The Dawn of the Stone Age" to sit back, relax, get some popcorn, melt into your seat and watch this hilarious adventure unfold right before your eyes. Join us tomorrow at Fashion Island in Newport Beach and get ready for a good time.
