Spyder’s Luxury Collection Only Sportswear Brand on Display at FIT Museum Exhibit

(Boulder, CO) May 24, 2007

Spyder Active Sports will be immortalized in the world of luxury fashion this spring when New York’s Museum of Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) opens the doors to its newest exhibition, Luxury, the first exhibition at FIT to examine the ever-evolving meaning of luxury in fashion’s history.

A jacket-and-pants set from Spyder’s Luxury Collection (SLC) will be displayed in the “new luxury” portion of the exhibit alongside modern luxe labels such as Burberry, Coach, Prada, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta.

The sole sportswear brand to be featured in the exhibition, Spyder styles to be shown are a wine-colored jacket with raccoon-fur accents, gold embroidery, and ruched details, and coordinating flare-legged pants with a tailored fit. The outfit will hang next to a “stealth” luxury ensemble comprised of Acne jeans and a blouse by Maggie Norris.
