July 17, 2007
SEATTLE, WA, (July 17, 2007) – Ride Snowboards today named Greg Keeling U.S. Sales Director to oversee all domestic sales functions for Ride’s snowboard, boot, binding, apparel and accessory categories.
Keeling served as North American snowboard product manager for Salomon from 2000-2001 when he was promoted to national sales manager for Salomon snowboards and Bonfire outerwear. Greg was instrumental in growing that organization’s snowboard boot and performance apparel categories. Prior to Salomon he worked as an independent rep for Burton in the Pacific Northwest, as a snowboard buyer for Sportsman Chalet in Bellingham, Wash., and as a store manager for Christy Sports in the 1990s.
“I am thrilled to have someone with Greg’s talents and experience joining the Ride team,” said Tim Petrick, VP Global Sales. “Greg has a proven track record as a sales executive and his knowledge and personality are an ideal fit for the brand.” Petrick went on to say, “Keeling’s business skills and passion for snowboarding will help amplify the positive momentum Ride currently enjoys in the US market.”
In his new position Keeling will be responsible for managing Ride’s nine independent sales reps, as well as working intimately with its brand and product directors on future strategies. In addition, Keeling will be Ride’s primary point of contact for key accounts and buying groups.
“I am truly stoked to be directing Ride’s sales efforts,” Keeling said. “Ride is an authentic snowboard brand that is supported by a solid in-house team and is represented in the field by one of the strongest independent rep forces in the business. I look forward to working with everyone at Ride to help realize continued opportunities for growth in the years ahead.”
