Active Takes Home SIMA's Men's Retailer of The Year Award

On May 16, 2008, the Surf Industry Manufactures Association (SIMA) Surf Summit 11 in Cabo San Lucas announced winners of the sixth annual SIMA Image Awards. SIMA is the only organization in the surf industry to recognize and honor surf brands for being the most influential brands for their efforts help grow the industry. The honors are broken into 15 different categories each year.

Active Ride Shop, Southern California’s action sports retailer, won “Men’s Retailer of the Year” award. Shane Wallace, President of Active said, “In the eyes of our company, just to be nominated by SIMA, alone, was honor enough. But to actually take home the award was something we had never expected or imagined. We can’t thank everyone that has stood behind us enough.”

Active would like to recognize and congratulate every brand that was nominated as well as the brands that won.
