Foam Magazine Goes Social with Community On The Loop'd Network to become THE online gathering place for young women

Foam Magazine, the leading, beach-oriented, lifestyle and fashion magazine, and Loop'd Network™, the leading social network for action sports and youth culture, today launched the PiperGirls online community at  Rooted in the action sports lifestyle, PiperGirls will be THE gathering place for young women interested in their sports, fashion, art, music, and culture.  Foam has supported the next generation of active young women with compelling visual and editorial content in print and chose to expand into social media and build a community by partnering with Loop'd.  Loop'd is THE place for action sports athletes and enthusiasts to connect and commune around sports and lifestyle.
The community features all aspects of social networking acting as a hub for members to connect with each other, find out about news and events, and get special discounts on tickets and merchandise. Foam will also bring new, media relevant content to the community through its ongoing features and blogs. A PiperGirls Ambassador Program will introduce a group of inspirational female athletes, artists, filmmakers, environmentalists, and musicians who will share their stories and experiences and act as community leaders encouraging other "pipergirls" to explore and realize their potential as strong, independent young women.  "We wanted to open a forum where like-minded women who are passionate about living action-sports-centric lifestyles can create a community," says Editor-in-Chief Kristina Dechter. "Creating a place to connect, share interests, make friends, and celebrate lifestyle; PiperGirls will be the gathering place for young active women."
Other benefits of the community include the opportunity for members to get featured online and in Foam Magazine for being the "pipergirls" that they are; riding, ripping, painting, shredding, playing, travelling, etc.  Members can also explore other communities and places across the Loop'd Network.
"We are excited to launch PiperGirls as a cornerstone to our commitment to benefit our members and grow affinity for Loop'd with our young female audience.   As we grow, we continue our focus on member engagement across the board," said Scott Tilton, chief executive officer, Loop'd Network.  "By partnering with Foam to launch PiperGirls, we continue to expand our reach and relevance with a premier media brand focused on the advancement and empowerment of active young women."
