Life Rolls on Foundation Seeks Votes to Win $10,000 on pressplayatgap.com
Life Rolls On’s They Will Surf Again Adaptive Surfing Program Among Top Contenders for Favorite Video on Online Competition

Life Rolls On Foundation is currently in first place among vote-getters for favorite video on the PressPlayatGap.com video contest and is appealing to the public to maintain its lead.  International retailer Gap encouraged employees to share their work in the community by creating a two-minute video documenting their volunteerism, then posting it online, so the public can vote for its favorite video.  Voting began on August 31 and closes on September 6.  The Gap team receiving the most votes for its video will win $10,000 toward its featured nonprofit.

The Gap Seaside District’s video showcased its recent work at Life Rolls On’s They Will Surf Again program at Bolsa Chica State Beach on August 16.    They Will Surf Again is an award-winning, bi-coastal series of events that empower young people affected by spinal cord injury with the opportunity to surf through the help of adaptive equipment and able-bodied volunteers.

“I’ve been surfing for over 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said volunteer Kirk Spurlock.  “People have more happiness on one wave than I can have in a lifetime.”

“Gap employees have been amazing champions for our organization,” added Josh Billauer Chairman of the Board for Life Rolls On.  “They not only support our programs by volunteering, but through contests like this, they also share our work with communities we would have never reached before.”

The public may vote once each day for the duration of the seven-day competition. To cast a vote for Life Rolls On, visit www.pressplayatgap.com and search for They Will Surf Again.
