Action Sports World Tour Begins in Greater Cincinnati Area Tonight!

A Who’s Who of Action Sports is Coming to Bank of Kentucky Center for  the Action Sports World Tour Tonight! 

LOS ANGELES (October 3, 2008) – The elite pros of action sports are in Cincinnati for ASA Entertainment’s (ASA) Action Sports World Tour tonight and tomorrow at the Bank of Kentucky Center at Northern Kentucky University.  The sport’s top athletes in Skateboard and BMX Vert, Big- Air BMX Triple Jump, and Freestyle Motocross are lined up to offer fans the best action sports competition and entertainment in the country. 

The Skateboard Vert competition will showcase the talents of 2008 X Games gold medalist Pierre Luc Gagnon (Montreal, Canada), competing alongside Danny Mayer (Omaha, Nebraska), Alex Perelson (San Diego, California), Sandro Dias (Santo Andre, Brazil) and Buster Halterman (Wellsville, Pennsylvania) to name but a few. 

During the BMX Vert contest fans will enjoy the skills of 15 great athletes to include 2008 X Games Brazil and X Games Dubai Champion Simon Tabron (Newquay, England), Kevin Robinson (East Providence, Rhode Island), Steven McCann (Melbourne, Australia) and Jimmy Walker (Chicago, Illinois).

Twenty men will take to the Big-Air BMX Triple Jump course for a contest featuring 2008 Big Air BMX Triple Jump Orange County Champion Diogo Canina (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Dennis Enarson (San Diego, California), Austin Coleman (Los Angeles, California), T.J. Ellis (Moreno Valley, California), and Rob Darden (Greenville, North Carolina).

Preliminary round competition will take place tonight in both Skateboard and Big-Air BMX Triple Jump: the finals in each discipline will be held on Saturday night.   Saturday will also feature the BMX Vert competition. Freestyle motocross demonstrations will be offered each night along with live concerts – Friday, Theory of a Deadman and Saturday, Kardinal Offishall.
