At the Vans Downtown Showdown, team Blind wins the overall title. In other skate news, the Ambassador Skate Plaza was opened in Los Angeles. Thrasher Magazine hosted the Bust or Bail contest in San Francisco. Ryan Sheckler takes the top honors with Andrew Reynolds coming in second.

In BMX news, the 2008 Strictly BMX Spinal Disorder was held in Melbourne, Australia and Andrew Gold takes the top honor.

In wakeboarding news, the Red Bull Wake Lab was held in Orlando, Florida and JD Webb took the best trick award, while Olivier Derome landed the best overall rider title.
