In surfing news, at the Movistar Classic Mancora Peru presented by Rip Curl, stop number 6 of 8 on the women’s world tour, Stephanie Gilmore edges out Silvana Lima for the win.

In other surf news, the 9th Annual Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Classic is held in Florida, and Asher Nolan wins the title. Filmmaker Greg Browning premiered his newest surfing and diving movie “Drop Zone.”
