Merrell Announces Deepened Commitment to Apparel Division & Begins Process of Building Dedicated Sales Team
Merrell is pleased to announce its plans to develop an in-house sales force to focus exclusively on Merrell Apparel, the outdoor brand known for products at the horizon of performance and style. Forecasting future growth and expanded market share within the apparel category, Merrell has begun a nationwide search for its new sales division.
“With nearly three decades of experience in the outdoor footwear category, we are thrilled to deepen our commitment to our apparel division through the development of a dedicated sales team,” said Jim Scholle, vice president of sales for Merrell Apparel. “As our apparel continues to gain traction and resonate with our footwear consumer, we believe that this strategic expansion will bolster our long term growth objectives within the market. Furthermore, the establishment of an apparel-specific team separate from our footwear division will ultimately provide better service to existing and future accounts.”
All reps selected to join the apparel sales team will report directly to Scholle and share the brand’s passion for getting outside. The team will also be responsible for implementing a brand platform and distribution strategy parallel to Merrell Footwear.
