Fortify yourself with a triple dose of shred as Consolidated Skateboards riders Mike Peterson and Kyle Berard return to The Habit, and they brought along fellow rider Tanner Zelinsky with them. Plus, Mike and Kyle take us behind-the-scenes at a backyard pool jam. Echo Beach Team – Friday 8.28.09

Today, we go back to the future with the cast and crew of the critically acclaimed surf documentary that harkens back to the SoCal surf scene and how it influenced surf and popular culture - Echo Beach. Director and surfer Jeff Parker, Producer Stefan Jeremias along with veteran surfer John Gothard is here. Then we’re topping things off with next generation surfer, Andrew Doheney. Plus, we were lucky enough to get a bonus track performance from yesterday’s musical guest The Dodos. This Week on The Weekly Update with Boost Mobile: The Dew Tour’s Wendy’s Invitational hits Portland, Oregon. In Skate Vert, Pierre-Luc Gagnon moves into the overall points lead with a win over Andy Macdonald and Sandro Dias.

In Park, Chaz Ortiz and Chris Cole battle for the first-placed spot, with Ortiz coming out on top.

In the Transworld Best Trick event, Park finalist Ryan Decenzo is back on his board to take top honors. In other skate news, Steve Reeves and Team Bacon give us a tour of Greater Portland, otherwise known as Skate City, USA.

In BMX, 2007 Dew Cup champ Ryan Nyquist jumps into the points lead with a win in BMX Dirt. In Vert, Jamie Bestwick continues his dominance. And in Park, Garrett Reynolds barely beats Dave Mirra, and the two now share the overall points lead.
