Unrivaled List of Labels Showing at [email protected]
Over 100 of the most talked about boutique and crossover fashion brands sign on to preview spring lines at the debut of [email protected]

[email protected] is set to debut September 10th-12th in San Diego with a curated group of over 100 designers that crossover from the action sports lifestyle into the prestigious fashion market. The action sports and boutique fashion categories unite as they are presented side-by-side at the ASR Marketplace. Running adjacent to ASR, [email protected] ASR is an exclusive event with its own vibe, booth design, food and ambiance.
“The sum of ASR and [email protected] under one roof builds an unrivaled buying event for a wide variety of retailers,” Andy Tompkins, VP Nielsen Sports Group. “We’re very excited by the strength of brands who have embraced [email protected], they really are the best in their respective categories and a perfect complement to ASR’s established and core brands.”
The diverse list of brands at [email protected] includes Stussy, Comune, Elwood, Osklen, Modern Amusement, Original Penguin, Quiksilver Women, WeSC, Kangol, Converse by John Varvatos, Kill City, Nooka Watches and Cardboard Robot. Leading boutique and specialty buyers are ready to attend the new event and will strengthen ASR’s international mix of specialty action sports, swim and department store buyers. The fusion of retail categories will help make ASR Marketplace an unrivaled platform for labels to reach the right buyers and media.
“We are not a traditional surf/skate shop, but we love what the whole genre has done for the fashion industry and take what we feel are the most forward and directional pieces from each line to give it a boutique feel,” says Randy Brewer, head buyer and GM of the Villains stores in San Francisco. “Having [email protected] will just make it that much easier to find what we’re looking for, as I trust them to pick the most unique and relevant lines for our store to represent. It also gives us a chance to revisit some key lines to make sure our buys are as streamlined and focused as possible. In this economy it is more important than ever to make the right choices.”

Spacecraft is launching their spring line at [email protected] including new cut and sew, wovens and jackets “[email protected] is a good forum to reach a broad audience of buyers, it is a great location for us to launch our line,” explains Ryan Davis, Marketing Director. “Retailers are making the trip for ASR and we can take advantage of their presence while being in an environment that showcases Spacecraft favorably.”
