“Is GREEN the New Black?”—A Panel Discussion on Staying Ahead Of and True To the Challenges of Sustainability
group Y of Carlsbad, California will be partnering with action sports retailer evo of Seattle, Washington to host a panel discussion in Seattle on the evening of October 21st, 2009. The discussion will focus on how sports manufacturers, retailers, resorts and consumers can best navigate the often overwhelming landscape of green and “eco-friendly” products while making positive long term change.
The Wednesday evening panel marks the second Northwestern event for group Y. Co-Founder and CEO at group Y, Elizabeth Randall commented, “We are so excited to be back in the Northwest, this time partnering with the bright minds at evo. They are not only a premiere action sports retailer, but have built their business on a foundation of giving back to their community and the industry. We couldn’t have found a better partner with which to kick off group Y in Seattle!”
“We are very excited to be hosting group Y here in Seattle and to be addressing an issue that is at the heart of our core values here at evo. I look forward to seeing how the conversation unfolds and the resulting collaboration here in the Northwest and beyond,” stated Molly Hawkins of evo’s marketing team.
The expert panel includes; Dennis Madsen, former CEO of REI, Chris Rudolph, Director Of Marketing Services at Stevens Pass, and Mikey LeBlanc, pro-snowboarder and founder of Holden outerwear.
