MEDIA: ChopShop Documents Skateboarding Hall of Fame Induction

Skateboarding icons Danny Way, Tony Alva, Bruce Logan
and Tony Hawk, represented by his brother Steve Hawk were all there on Saturday night, October 24, to be inducted into the International Association of Skateboarding Companies' (ISAC) Hall of Fame and the ChopShop cameras were there to document the evening.

The event took place at Van's Skate Park at the Block in Orange, California and the ChopShop crew captured the celebration on film for IASC.  It was the Inaugural event for the Hall of Fame, which is physically located in Simi Valley and is sponsored by IASC's Go Skateboarding Foundation.

Each of the inductees - all pro skateboarders - represented one of the past four decades and each has definitely made a contribution to the history of skateboarding.

The crowd of 250+ attendees at the invitation-only event was filled with skateboarding legends, luminaries and veterans who came for the induction, to see the Hall-of-Famers in person and stayed to bid on the numerous auction items and socialize over a beer or two.  Proceeds from the auction went to the Go Skateboarding Foundation.

ChopShop will edit the footage from the event and provide a DVD that will be sent to IASC's membership.  For more information about IASC and the Go Skateboarding Foundation visit
