This Week on The Weekly Update with Boost Mobile: The top 17 women surfers in the world convene at Lobitos for the final day of competition at the Movistar Peru Classic presented by Rip Curl. Local Sofia Mulanovich scores her first win of the season.

In other surf news, Kolohe Andino wins the Rip Curl GromSearch National Finals at Salt Creek. CJ Hobgood wins the Slater Brothers Invitational benefit contest. Eddie Gilbeau wins the Quiksilver King of the Peak skins event. Pinetrees hosts Volcom’s Pufferfish Surf Series. And Rob Machado’s wanderings and ponderings are featured in “The Drifter.” Plus, Santa Barbara surfers Nole Cossart and Chadd Konig paddle the coast of Southern California to raise awareness about coastal development.

In snowboarding news, California’s Mammoth Mountain kicks off the season with the “I Am Snowboarding” art show and the “Hot Laps” premier. Plus, Stephan Gimpl goes back-to-back in the FIS World Cup Big Airs at London and Barcelona.
