Spyder’s Corporate and Team Division Hires Product Director
Summyt Division names Lindsey Vincent to head resort & race product
Spyder’s Summyt Division named Lindsay Vincent as director of product resort/race. Vincent returns to Spyder after serving for six months as apparel development manager at Pearl Izumi. “My heart remained with Spyder, the industry and the athletes when I left last Fall,” she said. “I’m excited to create product that is informed by our race heritage and expand that influence to the next progression. We’ll focus the process on the core heart and soul of skiing, which are the end users.”
The Summyt Division was developed in 2009 to concentrate on resort and race business independently yet within the Spyder infrastructure. Vincent is responsible for the division’s entire product lifecycle, from design concept through production and manufacturing. All race apparel and gear, including the US Alpine Ski Team and Canadian Alpine Ski Team uniform programs, fall under Summyt direction. The brand additionally develops unique outfitting solutions for on-mountain professionals, and has manufactured resort uniforms since 1988 under its established ProGear custom garment collection. It produces over 30,000 uniform items annually for use at winter resorts worldwide.
Phil Shettig, Summyt’s general manger, hired Vincent for the position. “Getting Lindsay back in-house was crucial in building a focused, dedicated resource platform. She’ll drive the product and technology for our race, uniform, and resort initiatives and exceed all expectations of our athletes and users beyond belief.”
