EMP: K2 Promotes Hall and Walton
K2 Sports Keeps it in the Family with Global Snowboard Marketing and Category Manager Promotions
K2 Sports confirmed the industry buzz this week by officially promoting Hunter Waldron and Bill Hall to the positions Global Marketing Manager for K2 Snowboarding and K2 Sports Category Manager for Snowboard Boots.
Waldron and Hall are long-time K2 fixtures whose expertise in product development have helped shaped the modern-day snowboarding industry. Hunter has been with K2 for 12 years in product design and engineering and most recently served as the Snowboard Boot Category Manager. As the Global Marketing Manager for K2 Snowboarding, he will drive all communications and marketing outreach for the brand.
“Hunter is one of those rare product designers who has an incredibly creative mind and an ability to bridge the gap between product and marketing,” said Jeff Mechura, Vice President of Global Marketing for K2. “His connection to the market, knowledge of trends, passion for snowboarding and extensive product background makes him the perfect fit.”
Hall has been with K2 since 1992 working in a variety of roles within the organization in manufacturing, cad and tooling design and, most recently, as Senior Designer of Snowboard Boots. Bill’s understanding of consumer needs coupled with his knowledge of technical footwear and the manufacturing process will further advance K2’s current success in the Snowboard Boot category.
