Spyder Promotes from Within for Supply Chain Upgrades
Internal operational changes improve supply chain efficiency and dealer service
Spyder, the leading ski and mountain lifestyle brand, promoted from within to best manage annual growth and ever-increasing unit deliveries. Two vital positions have been created to improve the supply chain system process from the initial stages of manufacturing to timely delivery at retail partner’s doors.
Carl Boni has been promoted to oversee all aspects of Spyder’s production globally as Senior Director Supply Chain – Production and Inbound. The company’s production offices in Thailand and China work directly through Boni. Chris Okazaki, Director - Asia Production, now reports to Boni and will support Spyder’s strategic initiative plus diversify Spyder’s sourcing base and factory management expertise to emerging markets. “Carl and Chris have been through the 2010 ‘supply chain wars’ together, and took proactive steps to enhance our supply chain performance for this season and beyond,” said Tom McGann, President and CEO. “I am very confident in their abilities and dedication in providing outstanding service to our customers with improved delivery performance.”
Further positioning the company’s supply chain success, Nathan Peterson has been promoted to Director of Supply Chain - Outbound Services. Peterson’s scope of responsibility expanded to managing all aspects of the supply chain from factory level through delivery to the Spyder retailer. He will report to McGann directly and will be integral in developing a long-term logistics strategy and execution plan. “This reorganization provides a seamless transfer of responsibility in our supply chain,” McGann stated.
Both Boni’s and Peterson’s teams will support and service the operations team at the Spyder Europe office in Switzerland.
