Smith Optics x Hayter Communications: Easy on the Eyes


Smith Optics has named Hayter Communications as its public relations agency of record to manage all editorial outreach for the brand. The announcement was made upon the exit of revered pitchman Greg “Chopper” Randolph who stepped into the General Manager and Director of PR/Media Relations for the Sun Valley Marketing Alliance.


“We’ve known and worked with Ryan and his crew for years,” said Tag Kleiner, Smith Optics’ marketing director. “It’s a perfect fit of brand personalities and we’re looking forward to what we’ll accomplish working together.”


Hayter Communications will immediately assume responsibilities for directing incoming and outgoing media calls, managing insane editorial deadlines and screening the onslaught of free product requests from the army of Smith lovers in the outdoor, snow sports, cycling, surf, paddling, MX, optical and style markets.
