World’s Greatest Skateboarding Event Telecast Live Worldwide

Fox Sports Media Group’s dynamic entertainment and sports network for young males, announces the live, HD telecast of the Maloof Money Cup New York presented by Vans, the world’s greatest skateboarding event. In addition to the U.S., the network’s multi-day coverage brings the Maloof Money Cup to millions of households around the world through FUEL TV’s affiliates in Australia, Europe and Africa.
FUEL TV televises the New York contest live from Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens on Saturday, June 4 from 4:00PM to 6:30PM ET and Sunday, June 5 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM ET. The live TV coverage allows skateboarding fans around the world to watch in real time as a who’s who of the best pro skaters, such as Andrew Reynolds, Geoff Rowley, Greg Lutzka, and Dennis Busenitz, compete for the first prize of $160,000, one of the richest purses in skateboarding. FUEL TV also telecasts the Maloof Money Cup event from Washington, D.C. Labor Day weekend, September 3-4.

The live New York telecast features host Pat Parnell (FUEL TV’s The Daily Habit Host and NBC Olympic commentator), Ryan Clements (SPoTlight Productions, Skatepark of Tampa GM, longtime announcer and skateboarding event organizer) and Chris Nieratko (longtime skateboard journalist and owner of NJ Skateshop).
In addition to the live TV coverage, Fox Sports Net airs one-hour Maloof Money Cup programming featuring event highlights and exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews on Thursday, June 16 at 11:00pm ET (check local listings). The highlights show also air on FUEL TV.
The New York contest has skateboarders battling it out on the pro skater-designed street course that was built for the contest last year and left as a permanent skate park for the community.
