EVENT: Ryan Sheckler's Foundation Partners with Master Plan Communications

Ryan Sheckler’s Foundation Partners with Master Plan Communications

Today the Sheckler Foundation announced that it has partnered with Master Plan Communications to direct the public relations (PR) for its 3rd annual SKATE FOR A CAUSE event, benefiting A.skate, on May 5 at the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest.  Ryan Sheckler is all about helping kids through creating positive change, and The Sheckler Foundation was created to be an avenue for Ryan and his friends, family and partners to make that change happen. 

In addition to managing the PR for the event, Master Plan Communications will raise awareness for The Sheckler Foundation’s “Be the Change” project.  This project empowered everyone to nominate something to positively affect the lives of children or injured action sports athletes.  The nominations were reviewed, and you can vote for your favorite cause right now on the ShecklerFoundation.org site.   

“The skateboarding community has the ability to make a huge impact around the world, and the Sheckler Foundation is working toward bringing the community together to be the change,” said Gretchen Sheckler, CEO and director of the Sheckler Foundation.  “Ashton Maxfield has led the PR for Skate for a Cause since the event began in 2010, and we are proud to have his team at Master Plan Communications as a partner for this year’s event.” 

The Sheckler Foundation’s SKATE FOR A CAUSE, presented by etnies, is just over six weeks away.  Save the date of May 5 to enjoy watching some of the world’s best skateboarders competing, as well as the skateboard carnival village with food, games and activities.
