Exclusive Content Available Across NBC, NBC Sports Network and DewTour.com
Burr Ridge, Ill. – Aug 17, 2012 – The Dew Tour today announced the expanded broadcast and digital platforms for the 2012 season, doubling the number of coverage days and increasing the event broadcast hours more than 80% over previous years. NBC and NBC Sports Network will feature 33 hours of broadcast coverage throughout 2012. The all new digital platform, Dew Tour Live, will bring fans more than 18 hours from each event of live streamed competitions, athlete interviews, and behind the scenes segments. For the first time ever, fans will be able to watch every Dew Tour final and semi-final.
“The Dew Tour’s broadcast and digital platforms will bring an unprecedented amount of Dew Tour coverage to our fans. We’ve increased hours and our investment in the broadcasts to bring new technology, more story telling and more live action to our viewers,” said Wade Martin, President and CEO of Alli Sports. “For the first time ever, the Dew Tour programming schedule will include weekend NBCSports broadcasts paired with live primetime and late night cable broadcasts.”
Dew Tour Live will feature the Silverlight live stream player – the same technology used for the Super Bowl - to compliment the live NBC programming experience with live scoring, twitter integration and extracamera angles. Each day’s competition live streams will be paired with daily feature content, athlete Twitter Q&As, and behind the scenes coverage.
Dew Tour Live began on August 16 and is available at www.DewTour.com/Live through Sunday, Aug. 19.
