Nau Hires Carey Mullett As New Senior Women's Designer
(Portland, OR) November 14, 2012 - Portland-based sustainable apparel brand Nau announces the appointment of Carey Mullett as Senior Women’s Designer. In her new role, Carey will work as part of the Nau creative team and will oversee product design for the women’s category. As a veteran of the outdoor industry with 20 years of experience in apparel development and design, Carey will lend her expertise to grow Nau’s female product offering.
Most recently, Carey was the Senior Apparel Designer for Technical Sportswear at Patagonia. She had been with the company since 2000 and in the past ten years has been the lead designer for a majority of the brand’s product categories including: Women’s Lifestyle, Men’s Lifestyle, Climbing, Yoga, Trail Running, Body and Alpine. Previously, Carey spent two years in technical fashion apparel design with adidas America where she was responsible for the largest in-line apparel category, as well as two European collections. Carey gathers additional design experience in the outdoor market through a Design Developer role at InSport International Inc.
