Boast Hires New Director of Marketing
Press Release from Turner PR
NEW YORK (December 3, 2013) – Boast is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Dupuis as the company’s director of marketing. Founded in 1973, Boast is an iconic American heritage brand, best known for its roots in racquet sports culture. In her new position, Dupuis will lead execution of strategic marketing initiatives, oversee seasonal creative, visual identity, public relations, retail marketing, media planning and digital engagement efforts. Based in New York, she will report directly to John Dowling, president of Boast.
“Laura brings an added strength to our team, particularly with her online brand experience and management of engaging retail marketing strategies,” said Dowling.
Dupuis joins Boast after six years with J.Crew. During her time with the company, she held various roles within the brand marketing department most recently serving as marketing manager for the J.Crew Factory brand.
“I'm excited for the opportunity to join such an iconic brand and look forward to working with an incredible team, utilizing my marketing skills and introducing the brand to a new audience,” said Dupuis.
This year marks our 40th anniversary. In 1973, the tennis pro at The Field Club of Greenwich created an apparel brand for players who believe that sport is part of the well-led life, but not the only part. For forty years, Boast’s Japanese Maple Leaf logo has stood for that balance: excellence and integrity on the court, and the good life off of it.
