WEB: Outdoor Research Tiny House Tour Gears Up for Season 3
Ambassadors Molly Baker, Zack Giffin, Neil Provo prepped for third season of chasing powder in 112-sq-ft home on wheels.

Seattle, Wash. (December 17, 2013) – For the third winter in a row, Outdoor Research ski ambassadors Zack Giffin and Molly Baker, and snowboard ambassador Neil Provo, are hitting the road in their 112-square-foot home on wheels, the OR Tiny House. As winter hits throughout the Rockies, Cascades and Sierras, the crew of the Tiny House Tour will pursue a modern, mobile take on every ski bum's dream.
Starting this month, the three will be traveling around Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, California, Washington, Oregon and Utah, hunting for powder, making new friends, finding new Outdoor Research grassroots team athletes, posting video dispatches and generally building the stoke. As in past seasons, they will be living out of their self-built, 112-square-foot residence, which doubles as the epicenter of cultural affairs, that they’ll be hauling behind their rig. The Tiny House also serves as a pop-up outdoor screening room when needed.
“Our job at Outdoor Research is to inspire and equip more people to get outside and follow their own adventures. Sharing the adventures of the Tiny House Tour with everyone is one way for us to do so,” said Charlie Lozner, director of marketing for Outdoor Research. “Living and traveling in the Tiny House from ski town to ski town is every skier’s dream. Zack, Molly and Neil have touched so many people, in person and through their travels and films.”
Over the coming season, the Tiny House crew will be creating a five-part video series documenting their adventures. Those videos will appear on Outdoor Research’s Verticulture blog.
The video series invites the outside world into life on the open road. After thousands of miles driven in the mountains, the Season 3 trailer Renovations will visit home base near Mt. Baker to see just how people can live and operate out of the Tiny House. Episode 1 dives into skiing culture and shares the importance of family and youth in the mountains of Wyoming and Montana. Filming on Donner Pass during late January will document that area, as well as explain the canine connection found on many backcountry slopes in Episodes 2 and 3. Ski culture extends far beyond the lifts, skin tracks and powder fields; places like the parking lot can offer the connection powder hounds yearn for – all of which will be evident in Episode 4.
“We’re telling a story of being entrenched in ski culture, life on the road, and the wild mishaps in between, but it’s also an important tool for Outdoor Research as a brand to stay connected to and engaged with dedicated skiers,” said Outdoor Research ski ambassador Molly Baker.
