B$Z: Arbor Snowboards Welcomes Mark Carter to their Pro Team

January 19, 2015

Arbor Snowboards is proud to announce the addition of Mark Carter to their pro team. Carter’s role within Arbor will transcend his position as a pro rider into areas of team and product development.

“I couldn't be more honored to join a company with such deep roots in snowboarding,” says Carter. “They stand alone with their story and their style. I'm excited to rip and create some amazing boards! It's all about the ride. ”

During the winter months, Carter resides in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he hones the backcountry skills that have landed him on the podium at The North Face Masters and Travis Rice’s Natural Selection. The offseason brings Carter back to his hometown of Ten Sleep, Wyoming, where he works on his family’s cattle ranch.

“The power of Mark’s snowboarding abilities is only multiplied by the duality of his character. Few riders posses the work ethic, charismatic personality, and on-snow skills that Carter personifies.” says Arbor Team Manager, Sean Black. “Having Carter on the team adds a new level of energy and fortitude to Arbor as we move into our 20th year of production."

Carter will spend the upcoming season filming for the newest Teton Gravity Research project, which will be released fall of 2015. Check out the edit:
