B$Z: Monster Energy's Max Parrot Stomps the World's First Switch Quadruple Underflip 1620
Monster Energy teamed up with Whistler Blackcomb to build a world-class kicker for Parrot in his quest to be the first to land this trick. Always taking it to the next level, the Canadian slopestyle ruler continues to inspire the next generation of riders to go beyond what is possible.
“It was a dream for me when I first started competing internationally, to push the boundaries of snowboarding. I have been visualizing this trick for a few months and when the opportunity presented itself this season thanks to Monster Energy & Whistler Blackcomb, I felt it was the right time, said Parrot.
Going huge on a snowboard is second nature to Parrot, 20, who continues to define the future of snowboarding with his bag of progression-pushing tricks. Always a crowd pleaser, the defending X Games Aspen 2014 Big Air champion and X Games 2015 Snowboard Big Air silver medalist put down a backside triple cork 1620, as well as the Cab 1440 triple cork—in which he switched up his grab from mute to Indy this year in Aspen. Coming off the heels of his silver medal win, he was ready to impress in his homeland and made history by landing the world’s first Switch Quadruple Underflip 1620.
