B$Z: Jackie Heinricher Continues to Push the Limits in Second Red Bull Global Rallycross Appearance
Jackie Heinricher made her second appearance this past weekend at the first double-header of the 2015 Red Bull Global Rallycross season. Pulling in some fast times during the Friday practices, Heinricher went on to finish 3rd in the LCQ which put her into the final race on Saturday where she finished 7th out of the 10 car lineup. Sunday was a different story after Heinricher jump-started the LCQ race, thus penalizing her and knocking her out of the final race. However, she remains in the top 10 in overall race series points.
One of Jackie’s favorite parts of the GRC series is getting to meet the fans that come out to the races, especially the young ones. Jackie says “meeting the young fans at these races is definitely one of the highlights. They are so excited about racing and we get to talk about Manadoob being on my car and what it means to have self-esteem. I had to deal a lot with bullying growing up so whenever I have a chance to talk to kids about bullying and help empower them and their self-esteem it’s a good day.”
In between races this season Jackie is planning visits to military bases and other organizations, such as Boys and Girls Clubs, to spend time with kids around the country. Her passion is to bring awareness to anti-bullying and help in any way she can to put an end to the bullying epidemic.
Heinricher is also excited to move forward to the next race at the Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, NC on July 5th. For a recap of her first Red Bull Global Rallycross race in Ft Lauderdale, FL and to hear about her passion for the Manadoob Program, check out:
