B$Z: Atomik Carbon Adds Nationwide Rep Groups, Expands Sales, Service and Availability

August 25, 2015

High-end carbon-fiber component manufacturer Atomik Carbon announces today new partnerships with independent sales rep groups nationwide. The expansion bolsters the brand’s sales and service capabilities, and makes product available in brick-and-mortar bike shops from coast to coast.

Atomik says it chose to partner with top cycling industry professionals that have the knowledge and experience to better serve independent bike shops and dealers. The expansion is being implemented to meet the increased demand the brand has seen since officially launching last October.

“Sales of our line of carbon fiber mountain rims and handlebars have been tremendous and the feedback we’ve received from our current dealers has been very exciting,” said Kevin Lineberger, vice president. “The addition of these knowledgeable product representatives will greatly enhance our ability to serve and support our dealer network and assist us as we continue to grow. Our ultimate goal is to not only provide a great product at a reasonable price, but support that product with outstanding customer service.”

One of the first retailers to stock Atomik, AJ’s Bikes and Boards in Brandon, FL, has sold more than 70 pieces since picking up the product line last year. “This has been the ‘breakout’ product for us,” said Darrin Rutledge, owner.

“We and our customers have been very happy with the quality and after-service Atomik provides. It is also nice to know that we will not see these products being sold online. The extremely aggressive EP and demo program has also been a very powerful selling tool.”

The move is also aimed at providing sales support as new products are introduced in the near future, including a single wall fat bike rim, a state-of-the-art single wall 27.5+ rim and a complete line of carbon road wheels. The new offerings will complement Atomik’s line of 27.5 and 29-inch trail and all-mountain rims and handlebars.

“The added benefit of reps that have a true understanding of our technical product line is invaluable,” said Lineberger.

The new rep groups provide coverage in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Eastern Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

New territories will continue to be added. Retailers can contact [email protected] for more information on any states not yet listed.
